Avila Quartet – Avila-Quartet

Avila Quartet

Avila Quartet is a Venezuelan Contemporary music project based in France, where their members develop a musical career. Their sound is an umbrella of styles that includes jazz, classical music, manouche and bossa all combined with Venezuelan traditional music. Moreover, their contemporary sound can be credit to its Violin and Oboe by them producing distinguish tones and performing modern techniques when playing traditional melodies. However, the Cuatro and Double Bass are the ones to keep balance between modern and traditional music when mixing rhythm and melodies with jazz. Their music is a journey throughout the different regions of Venezuela.

Therefor, during this musical trip it’s audience will discover the multiculturalism of Venezuela with a different approach. These musical aspects makes Avila Quartet provide an unique show. Avila Quartet has toured in France, Germany, Italy, England and Belgium where they have played at important venues such as Bolivar Hall (London), Expo 2015 (Milan), UNESCO (Paris), Festival de Biarritz, Maison de l´Amerique Latine (Paris), Instituto Cervantes (Bordeaux), Freimaurer Theater (Frankfurt), CulturAmerica (Pau) and Festival “Sonamos Latinoamerica” in Brussels. Their first album   was produced by artist Ramuntcho Matta and is in distribution under the record label sometimeStudio.
